Pro

  • Internet allows people to communicate wherever they want, whenever they want. Meeting in real life is often complicated. With internet, one can communicate from the cosiness of home, without the need to go somewhere. This allows the communication between people that are very distant from each other and are unable (for all sorts of reasons) to approximate each other.

Democracy: Does Internet promote democracy?

[Add New]

Pro

  • Internet enables free dissemination of information. Internet (search engines especially - when not restricted) brought the possibility of easy dissemination of information, leading to improved awareness of the general public on all sort of matters. This naturally increases the overall intelligence, breaking the barriers among people and promoting free reasoning, all of which promotes democracy, making people closer to each other.
