Religion

Let me begin with what Indira Gandhi the first woman prime minister of India said on religion:

"All great religions are attempts by man to refine himself"
IN my view point, also in keeping in mind the mindset of Atheists,I strongly argue that religion is not to deal with supernatural but with philosophies.

Man one day wondered:"What to do in a particular situation?" He didnt get a good answer to what he wanted...there were a million ways to do a thing but which was the right way he wondered.

This confusion had been carried on for centuries until the first religion Hinduism came into being. Hinduism never revealed itself as a religionn but as a set of basic principles which man has to follow to do right things at the right time. Hinduism was created by great philosophers like Ved Vyasa etc. They wrote great epics like Mahabharata and Bhagavat Gita from which man can actually learn what to do when how and why?.

But I strongly believe that before these epics were written there must have been a time when they simply had published the principles only. But that time, probably, one would have asked:"How do you know this or rather how can you write such?" Well, the philosophers were intersted in promoting collective good rather than selective good, which is why as an answer to such questions they introduced something in another dimension as "God said so". At that time as everyone knows, people were great worshippers of fire etc. Thus the philosophers used the idea of GOD to kind of compell the people to do as the epics say. Now that is where I would say the real orgin of "GOD" came.

The epics were full of meaning to conduct people themselves in everyday lives, which actually the 'message of the Gods' did. Thus more people became organised and cultured. However this orgin was in India. Hinduism had travelled the world. It reached different people in different places worldwide.Once this 'religion' which I would consider as the first misinterpretation of hinduism as a religion came to the eyes of people with contradictory ancient and orthodox beliefs, they rather launched a rebel religion, just the same way the IPL was launched as a rebel league to the ICL.

However, this does not mean that the rebel religion that was launched was bad.It also had its basic principles which was also to promote collective good. But then, here the people had misinterpreted the meaning of god, as a real person sitting after seven skies. Soon, people again launched religions and today the world has quite alot religions, that contradict each other and also...the existence of a 'real' GOD whose orgin was just like a world from a dicitonary.

Now, lets see..I think I have expressed what I had to very clearly...eagerly looking to stunning responses. Note:The above has been written solely on the basis of logical thoughts and not on any scientific basis...probably this is the way 'religion' evolved eh???
