Talk:Resolved: Hate crime enhancements are unjust in the United States
From Debatepedia
As the Affirmative, you can prove First Amendment violation by punishing on not only action, but on thought. A hate crime is defined as one that targets a specific group, and by "selecting a target" they are being charged not only for their actions, but for what they were thinking while they acted.
